It seems to me that all they did was mix half Nacho Cheese and half Cool Ranch. They had a very minute difference in the flavors; hardly noticeable. They are good though.

@mina Oh my god, Pizzerias! I hadn’t thought about those in, oh, forever. They had such a great junky taste that only a child’s palate could love.

Don’t be afraid of the sour cream. If you like Cool Ranch Doritos, you’ll feel right at home with them.

@ Fryguy9 I think your observations are probably right, although I still hold out hope for the habanero/guacamole. Come to think of it, Pizza Cravers/Zesty Taco doesn’t actually sound that bad!

I’ve totally eaten the pizza cravers/ranch flavor and it… is unique. I was hoping for that classic “Pizzarias” flavor (oh my god, childhood) and didn’t get that at all.

that aside, I’d been kind of wary of “sour cream” flavored doritos, but i think i’ll pick up a bag someday now.

Sour cream was a stand-alone flavor in the 80′s, but I never saw it in my neck of the woods. Can anyone tell me if it still tastes the same as it did then?

Just saw these yesterday in the store and almost picked them up. It seems every collision bag has one flavor that tastes exactly like Cool Ranch (or just IS Cool Ranch), and another which kinda-sorta resembles Nacho Cheese. I have seen and tried Pizza Cravers/Ranch and that description applies as well. I think you’re on to something with the Pizza Cravers/Zesty Taco though.
